Marc Rochkind: I've spent my career developing software, first for Bell Labs, and then for various outfits, large and small. These days I'm writing novels, the first of which is Bernie's Bar & Girll.

I've written textbooks, the best of known of which is Advanced UNIX Programming, which is still in print.

I also have a couple of dozen apps for Windows, MacOS, and iOS, most of which are photography related. They're at basepath.com.

I live in Boulder, Colorado, where I've been for the last 30+ years, after migrating west from the east coast.
